Do blank spaces contain memories of their previous uses? Can we understand their past by looking at them? Can we imagine in them a factory environment filled with a multitude of people working? What was that work like? How did the employees relate to their employers? Were there women working? Were there children? Could we conceive this space with children working? With what kind of function?
Factory Games is a collective experience in which, through manufactured and dialogic processes, we will jointly perceive the factory past of the Bombas Gens art center. This historical stage will be approached by the participants from the activation of their own bodies and reflections through play and work. We will go through Fordism and collectivism; hydraulic or warlike pumps to think and comment on the situation of childhood in the grey and arduous world of machinery that was placed in the white, clean and silent spaces we see today.
