MEET BOMBAS GENS. A Visit to the Past
A proposal by Paloma Berrocal, archaeologist and director of the archaeological intervention at Bombas Gens
This visit complements the artistic offer at Bombas Gens by sharing the historical information of the old hydraulic pump factory we have managed to collect. To that end, we propose an exploration around the historical locations within the premises along with Paloma Berrocal (director of the archaeological intervention).
The itinerary will certainly include a visit to the Gallery of the Façade (also known as Gallery 0), and various original elements of the factory that have been safeguarded and integrated throughout the refurbishment.
At Gallery 0 you will find the exhibition Histories of Bombas Gens featuring all sort of objects, and graphic and written documents related to the period when the factory was operational, a collection of photographs taken by Manolo Laguillo and Frank Gómez, and a documentary film collecting oral testimonies of neighbours, workers and those who were involved in the process of rehabilitating the industrial complex. The exhibition runs until March 2018.
