NOISE FACTORY, an approach to the exhibition The Gaze of Things by Carles Àngel Saurí and Ali A. Maderuelo.

As Johnn Cage said once: if you ignore the noise, the noise disturbs you. He also said that the moment you actually pay attention to the noise, it becomes fascinating. Noise is able to bring forward what is far and diffuse, such as grain or blurrings in a Daido Moriyama’s photography. Noise -either in sound or photography- is the world where shadows and ghosts habit.

Noise Factory is an approach to 60s and 70s japanese photography through noise and shadows, breaking the edges of the image and listening. And above all, understanding the exhibition space as an entity liable to transformations.
