This exhibition explores the history of Bombas Gens, from when it was first built until today, and it does so through a series of images, objects and eye-witness accounts that examine the architecture, the work inside the factory, the surrounding urban environs, and some of its most significant historical moments. The exhibition includes illustrated documents, photographs, and various objects found in its interior during the restoration process as well as accounts of those who worked there and were part of the life of the building. It shows the process of restoration, during which a fifteenth century wine cellar and a Civil War shelter were discovered, and that has continued until it has become the Fundació Per Amor a l’Art and Bombas Gens Centre d’Art.
