Bombas Gens is committed to the #CulturaEnCasa hashtag and has adopted a virtual way to continue its activity while its doors are closed. The art centre of the Fundació Per Amor a l’Art thus intends to keep in touch with its audience for as long as the confinement measures imposed to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
This new dynamic can already be enjoyed on social media and the Bombas Gens website, which will try to bring its community closer not only to works of art but to the artists themselves, around whom much of the content will revolve. In this way, the aim is to make the authors of the works in the Per Amor a l’Art Collection more fully known (and for whose exhibition Bombas Gens was created).
It will also be time to virtually visit the exhibitions and heritage spaces of the building, delve into the archival material and make room for new initiatives and formats that can be digitally consumed. Newly created audiovisual pieces, essays on artists, dialogues, workshops or family itineraries are some of the proposals that we will offer. All of this was largely designed by the art and mediation team, which will continue to work remotely.
This is unfolded in the plural and diverse programme that has been prepared, with activities focused on all audiences and ages, and which will try to make the user take a more active role, even if it has to be from the sofa at home.
